🌟 Hey, y’all!
’Tis the season to be jolly, and what better way to embrace the Christmas season than by joining Central Valley at our much-anticipated community Christmas party! 🎄✨
Our church family is excited to invite our community for an evening of fun, food, and friendship.
Holly Jolly Event Highlights:
Santa’s Workshop:
Bring your tiny tots in for pictures with Santa. Whether they smile (or not) for the camera will add to your unforgetable (and often hilarious) seasonal memories.
Jingle Jingle Live Music:
What’s a party without live music? Our talented musicians will fill the air with familiar Christmas melodies, adding to an atmosphere of joy and togetherness that you won’t want to miss.
Food for Everyone:
Nothing says love like a heaping helping of comfort food! Indulge in a good, old-fashioned church potluck prepared by our members, all free to our guests. There’s sure to be some amazing desserts to enjoy as we bring everyone together for a taste of delicious holiday flavors. (I may even attempt to make Grandma’s famous divinity!)
Gift Wrapping Station (Optional):
Teach your kiddies about the joy of giving by bringing a present for a needy child. All you have to do is bring a present and head over to our gift wrapping station, where we’ll help your little (or big kid) to wrap their gift.
This year we are sending the gifts to the children at the Women’s Resource Center on 727 Market Street West in Athens. Your small act of kindness will make a big difference in spreading the warmth to children and teens in our very own community.
As we prepare to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas at Central Valley, we hope you’ll find love, warmth, and togetherness that we really strive to project in our church family.
Definitely mark your calendars, Share the invite with your friends on social, and I hope to see you there! 🎁 🤶🎅
About the Writer:
By the way, this was written by Stephanie—one of the members at CV who just loves this church family. We’re not perfect people (who is, lol), but that’s why we follow Jesus in the first place. He IS the perfect One who makes His children perfect in God’s sight. (“For by a single offering He has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.” Hebrews 10:14)
So please don’t feel like you’ve got to have it all together before deciding to follow Jesus. Speaking for myself, I’m still trying to figure out the faith-walk, and I struggle with selfishness and all sorts of non-Jesus-like behavior and inner-most thoughts. (You may not think me so nice if you could read my mind. Whew—I’m sooooo thankful that no one but God can read what runs across my mind at times!!!!)
One of my friends told of a person who thought she couldn’t be a Christian because she couldn’t be good enough. And that’s the whole point. None of us can ever be good enough.
That’s why we become Christians…Hopefully, it’s because we all admit that we can’t be righteous except Jesus’ sacrifice.
Believe me, I’ve tried.
Failed.
And now I rely on Him to be my total goodness.
Anyhoo, that’s a little about me. Again, I hope to see you at our jingle jingle fun and mingle party!
Hugs,
Stephanie
