"Changing Lives by the Power of Christ"

Message from the Elders on March 18, 2020

We have been listening to press briefings held by President Trump, Vice President Pence, and members of the Coronavirus Task Force. Our desire is to care for the flock and our neighbors, both spiritually and physically. We don’t need to overreact with fear and panic. However, we should not be passive and dismissive about the coronavirus pandemic and the reality of people’s concerns. We should be willing to do what we can to curb the spread of this outbreak.

Based on the federal government’s strict new guidelines to limit people’s interactions over the next two weeks to slow the spread of the virus, we’ve decided to cancel our Sunday worship services for March 22 and March 29. We know it is difficult to miss gathering with the whole church. However, we are complying with what’s being requested of us out of love for others, particularly the people most at risk of serious infection.

We encourage you to sing, pray, read scripture, take communion and listen to Jason’s sermons in your home both Sundays. The sermons will be posted on Central Valley’s sermon webpage, Facebook page and YouTube. If you are in need of communion supplies, those can be made available to you at the church building this Saturday from 12pm-2pm.

Watch sermons for first time or rewatch them.
Go to and Like our facebook page, so you can receive notifications for when our sermons go live.

Just a reminder that online giving is available on our website (see link below).

We encourage you to continue our Connect Group Discovery Bible Study (DBS) with your families, over Skype or FaceTime friends, etc.  God has blessed us with the technology to stay connected.  This does not exclude worship and Bible study.  The new scripture will update each Thursday in the grey box on the right side of the Connect Group webpage. The following link provides the DBS study questions and the scripture for the upcoming week.      Connect Group DBS

We are all likely going to be inconvenienced in the coming days, so let’s remember to whom we belong. Be wise, love, and serve others.
