You will notice that some are wearing suits, some slacks and a shirt and some jeans. Some ladies will have on a dress or skirt, others will be wearing pants. The bottom line is that as long as you are dressed decently no one will notice what you are wearing. We pride ourselves in focusing on what is on the inside, not on what you are wearing. We are here to worship God and not have a fashion show.
As you enter our building, the Welcome Center is directly on your right. Please take time to pick up a Connection Card from the Welcome Center. Please fill out a Connection Card and leave it with a Welcome Center volunteer. If you have any questions, please ask a Welcome Center volunteer and they will be happy to help.
We welcome your participation during worship. However if worship is new to you, you will never be called out, asked to stand, or embarrassed. You will never be pressured to do anything if you simply want to observe and learn.
You will notice that our singing is without instruments, so feel free to join in and sing the songs you know. We typically sing about 8-12 songs during worship.
After a few songs, a reading from Scripture and a prayer we share communion. We do this every Sunday as a part of our worship to remember the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. We serve an “open communion” which means that the trays will be passed along the aisles for all who consider themselves Christians and in fellowship with Jesus to participate. The bread and juice represent the sacrificed body of our Savior and His blood that was shed for our sins.
After communion we take up an offering. This is done as worship and for the sake of moving the mission of God forward. As a visitor you are welcome to participate but please do not feel obligated.
Every Sunday morning we dedicate approximately 25 minutes to embrace a message from God’s Word. The messages are intended to help us know Jesus and how we can better live for him.
Our service concludes with a challenge, an opportunity for personal transformation, a song, and prayer. We hope that you will stick around for a few minutes after the prayer and let us get to know you better. Our typical worship service lasts for about an hour.
An attended nursery is available during worship if your child needs a little more space to move around! You are welcome to stay with your children if you choose.
The nursing mothers/quiet area is located in the nursery. Please feel free to use this room if you need a quiet space for your baby or toddler to feed or nap during worship or class. A changing table is available in this room.
