Jason Owen

Preaching Minister

Jason began the journey of leading Central Valley in June 2016. He married Celia in 2004 and together they have two wonderful children. They are proud of their family and treasure their time together. Jason enjoys running, motorcycling, camping, family walks, and keeping up with his favorite football teams (Atlanta Falcons and Auburn University: War Eagle!). 

Jason has given his life to ministry and began serving in 2000. He has earned a BS in Family Ministry, a MA in Biblical Studies, and a MA in Counseling. He is also a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. 

Emily McDaniel

Administrative Assistant

Emily, her husband Dax started attending Central Valley in October 2017.  They have two children:  a son, Bryce (3 yrs) and a daughter, Lucy (1 yr).  Emily officially became the administrative assistant on January 2018.  She is responsible for a wide range of administrative responsibilities, including managing the church website and online database, writing and sending out the weekly newsletter, and facilitating all mass communication between individuals and the entire congregation.  In her free time, she enjoys fishing, watching Alabama football, and spending time with family.

Dax & Emily McDaniel

Children's Ministry

CV Kids Ministry Leaders

Dax and Emily McDaniel began attending Central Valley in October 2017 and serve as the CV Kids Ministry Leaders.

They keep up with curriculum needs and work hard to create fun, safe events that are engaging both to children and their families.

Emily has served as CV’s administrative assistant at Central Valley for three years and is currently pursuing a degree in Engineering Technology at UAH.

In addition to Dax’s role leading Central Valley kids, he leads a men’s connect group on Wednesday night. Dax has led many service projects at Central Valley.

Dax was a Radio and Communications Security Repairer for the U.S. Army from 2013-2017 and currently works for Boeing as a Manufacturing Planner.

Emily says, “My favorite thing about Central Valley is the love that our church family members have for one another. Central Valley is a church family that offers grace and relies on God’s direction.” 

Dax adds, “Our church family enjoys to go out into the community and show the love of Christ. I love that we value people and want to meet the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of others, especially spiritual.” 

The couple has two young children, Bryce and Lucy.

Bailey and Caroline Gammill

Young Adults

Bailey and Caroline Gammill started visiting July 2019 and became members October 2019.

Caroline says, "We love how intentional everyone is with forming and growing relationships and how earnestly everyone seeks God. The people are just so kind and genuine and truly like a family. I love how eager everyone is to make new connections and spread the word of God and grow the family or Christ."

Caroline received her bachelor's degree from Harding University, a master's degree from Texas Christian University, and a doctorate from Northwestern University.

When not busy with work as a speech-language pathologist, Caroline likes barre, taking naps, and walking.

The couple has an active, adorable, lovable labradoodle named Daisy Doodle.
